Inferno 14U Bennette/Koontz took home the NSA Nevada Summer Shootout 14U Gold Championship at the Golden Eagle Sports Complex in Sparks, NV this weekend. After tying Sac Hitterz 6-6 on Saturday, Inferno was able to finish the job with a decisive 12-8 victory over Sac Hitterz in the championship on Sunday afternoon. Inferno clubbed six homeruns (Mitloff, Lentz, Tate-Vierra, Membrere, Asar, and Bacheller) and pitched two shutouts (Kim and Reuterskiold) en route to a 5-0-1 record on the weekend. Mitloff also lead the team on the basepaths with nine stolen bases.
